I just installed the phpBB security mod and am sitting here stuck now at this part Configuring your admin popup login. You will need to goto http://www.earthlink.net/cgi-bin/pwgenerator.pl
and encrtpy your password. Take that & whatever username you want to use & open rename.phpbbsecurity, i've found a thread that says these files are no longer used but cant find what to do from here ive searched and searched cant find anything on this , im sure theres bound to be something here saying what to do from this point can someone link me to the thread if there is one please , i went on and tried to log in admin panel was told first visit since adding secret question so filled that out then got that error about called to many times , refreshed the page or tried again and anyways my admin page comes up says i have the most up to date php security and everything thats supposed to be there however i dont have anything on the left hand side just solid white area where everything to do anything with is located ........I'd appreciate any ideas how to solve this or what to do from here Thanks

so then from that point i just skip it all and Goto your administration panel -> .: Security :.

Setup how you want everything to work. ?

i understand about not needing the htaccess files anymore, yet I still dont have a navigation menu in my admin panel.

Well, to know if this mod is causing the links to disappear, remove the admin file that you uploaded & see if the links load or not.

well i wasnt sure what admin file you meant , anyways lost the whole board so built new one and now am trying this again i came back here and read my post and what you said so i did my edits and after doing this last edit templates/*/
