Post subject: Fully Integrated Shoutbox Reply with quote
First post on your fine site.

Been building a new board and loving the color groups.

I figured out everything I want to do but one thing. That being the integration mod for shoutbox won't work since it includes an includes/functions, in example, that is not in the mod.

Is there a mod I am missing to integrate the colors? I have figured out how to add different editors and such to shout but this one has me stumped. Not good enough with codes.

Thanks. And I did search but found nothing on this.

The shoutbox integration mod on your site looks for a functions file in the includes folder that is not part of the color groups mod. So there is no file to find.

Thus it gives a does not exist error because that file is not in the color groups install folder.

Is there another way to get colors onto the Fully Integrated Shoutbox?

I worked around other issues and have a very colorful board now except for the Shoutbox.

Sorry for not being clear. Been a hectic day.

If includes/functions.php didn't exist, then your site would not be running.

Lets clear this up, you do use phpBB right?

I am building new forum script using a vanilla phpBB 2.0.17 with a good number of mods including Simplle SubForums and Niels Fully integrated shoutbox 1.1.5 which I modified to use BBCode Box for its editor.

I added your Advanced Username Color 1.0.5. Note the install inside says 1.0.4.

I added the integrations for EasyBirthday and Global tried this:

The problem is here I get an error calling for a file includes/functions color group or color group function or something like that. I should hve copied the error but did not.

I have no such file in my includes.

Not a clue what is going on here.

My mod has you edit includes/functions.php & it should be included by the shoutbox & it should be in your includes folder.

I guess I am not getting what I am saying across.

It is not calling for includes/functions.php

It is calling for includes/functions_color_cp.php or something like that.

Not a clue where it is finding that to ask for since there is no such file uploaded from anything.

I guess I will just forget it. A mystery to ponder if one gets bored.

Thats not from my mod. Thats not from any of my mods. So you might want to make sure it is AUC (Advanced Username Color) you have installed & not Niels or Nivesecs (whoever it is) color groups mod or some other color mod.

I downloaded from your site.

But on a previous board with the same DB I had Niels on in combo with Jr Admin, which I did not put on this one.

I used the clean DB utility. Am now wondering if some residue was left in the DB causing this issue.

Sure not in any file in forum folder.

I deleted the old mod file and downloaded a new one.

This time it worked just fine. Very very strange.

No way any modding error would have created an error message like that.

Just glad it is works now.
