It appears you are using a browser that is not based on Internet Explorer, this means you are not viewing the web as good as you should be. Other browsers might try to immitate Internet Explorer, but none can parse the web as it should like Internet Explorer can. So view the web as it was meant to be with Avant Browser!

|

Is there a hack that exists that will allow you to set forum permissions for a single user, and what forums they can or can't view..? I have a couple of forum members that have children that they let come on my site to play games, but don't want them to see the other parts of the forum...
I have done this in what is probably the most elaborate way possible, which is to make most of my forums private, and allow access to a base user group, and removed the user from the group...
Singler User Forum Permissions...
Any ideas..? |

You should be able to do that in the User > Permissions section of your admin panel. Of course, if the forums you dont want certain users to read doesnt have any restrictions on it then this wont do you any good.
There is a few things you can do.
1) Restrict access to forums that have adult content.
2) Tell your users that are having this issue to logout before their children access their computer.
3) Have your users setup a seperate account for their children. |

| Well, I have created that the kiddies a seperate account...But in order to restrict the users, I still have to mark the forums private, otherwise the option doesn't show up to restrict them access in the ACP... |

| Correct, you will have to make the forum private and grant the users access to that forum. You can do that by using the usergroups system, instead of doing each user manually. |
